Residents' Board Blog

Recruitment complete, the Residents’ Board is undergoing intensive training in readiness for the big takeover in April 2010. From April the Residents’ Board will take on governance responsibility for the repairs, maintenance and improvement of Trust homes and its budget of £11 million a year.   Residents will ensure services provided are efficient, meet residents’ needs and provides value for money and will ask Resident Inspectors to regularly   check on the service. Further landlord responsibilities will be passed over as time goes on. The Residents’ Board is supported by   six resident -led   Neighbourhood Panels set up to help residents make local decisions that matter to them.
